Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Polymer (CFRP) System
INFRASTRUCTURE REPAIR
RepWrap 300 UD and RepWrap 600 UD are lightweight, high-tensile strength, stitch bonded, uni-directional carbon fabric that is produced from our continuous, low-carbon fiber. It easily wets out with RepWrap Bond saturating resin and can be installed using either the “wet lay-up” or “dry lay-up” technique. The light weight of the fabric allows dry application to RepWrap Bond epoxy coated surfaces followed with a saturating coat of RepWrap Bond Saturant, and finally by RepCoat UV anti-carbonization and UV resistant topcoat significantly simplifying field application.
TuffTex Materials RepWrap Systems are used to obtain a bonded CFRP (Carbon fiber reinforced polymer) field laminate reinforcement system that will strengthen and enhance the performance of structural elements once installed.
1 | Concrete
It is preferred to have an ICRI profile of CSP 3. Surface can be profiled and prepared for CFRP application with PrepEtch biodegradable etching compound.

2 | RepPatch VOH Concrete Patching Compound or RepCrete QP polymer concrete may be used if needed.

3 | RepWrap Bond saturant Wet and dry layup SAT should be applied at 40-50 sf per gallon.

4 | RepWrap Sheets: 300UD or 600UD
Shall be cut beforehand into prescribed lengths. Sheets shall be lapped in longitudinal direction 6 inches minimum or as needed. (Note: no lapping is required of the sheets parallel to the direction of fiber orientation). Apply FRP/CFRP sheets fiber side down to the concrete over fresh saturant using a ribbed roller and squeegee to remove any air bubbles.

5 | RepWrap Bond
2nd coat should be applied at 100 sf per gallon.

6 | RepCoat UV
Topcoat should be applied at 130-150 sf per gallon.

Fabrics are available in 300 and 600 gram weights per square meter forms, stitched, uni-directional, and 0/90 Biaxial. 1200 gram upon request.
